I write expert-driven stories for the brand’s website on various aspects of mental health, including whether trauma is really “stored in the hips” and how to navigate election anxiety. I also reported and wrote the mental health brand’s special edition newsletter on suicidal ideation, timed with Suicide Prevention Awareness Month in September 2022.

I wrote a timely response to Senator JD Vance’s “cat lady” comments for Glamour in July 2024.

Some of the best work of my career has been at Well+Good, including my deep-dive into how diet culture norms have infiltrated AI, a data-driven look at the different ways Americans viewed abortion ahead of the 2020 election, and an exploration of how the trauma of the pandemic impacted sexual assault survivors. While on staff, I also covered product reviews, trends predictions, and more.

I write SEO-focused health and commerce content for new parents over at WhatToExpect.com, one of the largest and most trusted resources on pregnancy and early parenthood. Highlights include this feature on mom burnout for Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month and this explainer on “gifted” babies.

I write SEO-driven, research-backed pregnancy and postpartum content for Babycenter. I also cover timely news topics for the brand, including the potential impact of Ozempic on fertility and how to spot online misinformation about pregnancy and postpartum health.

I write detailed, reader-friendly explainers on fertility topics like cervical mucus and natural embryo transfers for the reproductive health media startup Rescripted.

I write reported, SEO-driven health and lifestyle content for Peloton’s media site, The Output.

I write and edit in-depth, scientific content for menopause brand Kindra’s Journal, with the goal of giving women more information about common (but rarely discussed) menopause symptoms.

I’ve written SEO-driven health conditions explainers for the Health.com team on metastatic breast cancer and atopic dermatitis, and occasionally write news for their news team.

I’ve written fitness and lifestyle content to the Mind+Body vertical of EatThis.com.

I wrote an essay for KCM in 2021 about my decision to quit my full-time media job during the pandemic.

I talked to tons of experts to come up with a comprehensive story of actionable ways to feel healthier and happier in every single room of your home for Apartment Therapy. (And it got a nice shout-out in the “Girls’ Night In” newsletter!)

Video write-arounds, news stories, SEO explainers, reported features… I did it all for WomensHealthMag.com. Highlights included the inaugural 2018 Healthy Skin Awards (which came together in three weeks), an honest review of the Trader Joe’s cauliflower pizza crust, and an exploration of the connection between mass shootings and domestic violence.

As part of the founding team of Motto, TIME’s vertical focused on millennial women, I covered news on gender equality issues like the wage gap, maternity leave, abortion rights, and sexual assault. I also interviewed celebrities like Evan Rachel Wood and Elizabeth Gilbert to get their life and career advice.

While in charge of the health and food sections of Well+Good, I regularly edited SEO-friendly explainers (like this comprehensive guide on a vegan diet), thought-provoking features and personal essays (such as this story on reckoning with sexual assault years after it happens, or this one about the comeback story of IUD contraceptives), and larger editorial initiatives (including our annual Mental Wellness Challenge and our 2020 Renew Year package). As a freelance editor, I’ve supported the team to help edit its annual Wellness Trends package, manage the Lifestyle section as a maternity leave fill-in, and pinch-hit edit health stories on topical issues like monkeypox and abortion access.

As a freelance editor, I currently help overhaul and update existing SELF pieces (like the Best Mattresses for Side Sleepers, the Best Treadmills for Runners, and the Best Adjustable Dumbbells), following best SEO, commerce, and brand-specific practices to ensure roundups are thorough, accurate, and answering key questions shoppers may have about the product category.

Creating and editing top-ranking SEO content was one of my primary responsibilities at WomensHealthMag.com. I also edited and project managed editorial initiatives such as “Breakfast Week” (the crowning jewel of which was this dreamy shoot of breakfast toast ideas) and larger features (like this story about why so many sexual assault victims don’t come forward).

As a freelance editor, I’ve supported the commerce team at WTE to edit thoughtful, well-reported shopping content that is primed for SEO or newsletter success while ensuring all products are useful + safe for new parents and babies. Examples include heavily-reported guides (like the Best Baby Sound Machines and the Best Bottles for Breastfed Babies) as well as impulse-driven shopping stories (like 15 Amazon Items Moms Have Used Every Day Since They Had a Baby).
